Getting There

Flights

You will fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Airfare is not included with your resort reservation, so you are welcome to book your flights on your own and use any points, miles, or airline credits you may have.

Please make sure the name on your flight reservation matches your passport exactly. Even a small spelling difference can cause issues when traveling internationally.

I recommend booking flights directly with the airline whenever possible, rather than bundling flights with the resort reservation.

Passports

A valid passport book is required for international air travel to Mexico. Passport cards are not valid for flights.

Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. If you need to apply for or renew a passport, please start that process early.

How to Book

Samantha and Gregory have a wedding promo code set up directly through Excellence Riviera Cancun. To be included in the wedding group, please book your room using the link below and make sure the promo code is applied.

Important: Please do not book the non-refundable rate, as they will be excluded from the promocode. Non-refundable reservations are charged in full when booked and cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded. The promocode SGWMAY27XRC gives you the best price and access to all of the wedding events, as well as the most flexible rate.

  2. Select your travel dates within the wedding travel window of May 18 to May 25, 2027.
  3. Confirm that the promo code SGWMAY27XRC is showing and applied.
  4. Choose Suite Only. Do not choose Suite + Flight.
  5. Complete your reservation using the credit card you want Excellence to keep on file.
  6. Save your confirmation email for your records.

Important Information

Final Payment

Your reservation will be charged in full 30 days prior to travel. The balance will be automatically charged to the credit card you put on file with Excellence.

No Partial Payments

Excellence does not allow partial payments for promo code reservations. The full balance is charged 30 days before arrival.

Adults Only

Excellence Riviera Cancun is an adults-only resort. Guests must be at least 18 years old at the time of arrival.

Rooms Can Sell Out

This promo code gives guests access to wedding group rates, but rooms are still subject to resort availability. Please book early.

To be counted as part of Samantha and Gregory’s wedding group, your reservation must be booked directly through Excellence using the wedding promo code.

Airport Transfers

One private complimentary round-trip airport transfer is included per room reservation for qualifying Suite Only stays of 3 nights or longer booked directly through The Excellence Collection website or reservations center.

Transfers are between Cancun International Airport (CUN) and Excellence Riviera Cancun. All guests on the same room reservation must arrive and depart at the same time to use the included transfer together.

Complimentary transfers are not included with Suite + Flight reservations. Please book Suite Only so your reservation remains part of the wedding group and eligible for the included transfer.

Transfer instructions are typically handled through Excellence and Seasons Transfers after your room is booked. Keep your resort confirmation number handy, because you will need it when submitting your flight details.

Insurance + Cancellations

Bookings made with the promo code can be cancelled without penalty if the cancellation is received more than 24 hours before arrival. Cancellations received within 24 hours of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full stay. No refunds apply for no-shows or early departures.

Even with a flexible cancellation policy, travel insurance is strongly recommended for international travel. Insurance can help protect you if your trip is interrupted, delayed, or cancelled, and it can also provide important medical coverage while you are outside the United States.

Most U.S. health insurance plans do not provide the same coverage internationally. Without travel insurance, you could be responsible for medical bills, hospital costs, emergency transportation, or other unexpected expenses while traveling.

You are welcome to purchase travel insurance through any provider of your choice. Melissa recommends Arch RoamRight.
